Prerequisites

CMDB Fundamentals or equivalent ServiceNow CMDB experience is recommended prior to attending this course.

Course Description

This course teaches students how to implement and administer ServiceNow Discovery to automatically identify and populate configuration items in the CMDB. Topics include Discovery architecture, MID Server setup, credential management, patterns, and troubleshooting — building the skills needed to maintain an accurate and current CMDB.

• Understand the ServiceNow Discovery solution architecture and its relationship to the CMDB
• Configure and validate MID Servers for Discovery
• Manage credentials and behaviors for Windows, Linux, and network device discovery
• Configure Discovery to find servers, network devices, and applications
